About   Audrey Hamilton

IMG_9149_jpg.jpeg

Audrey Hamilton is a digital photographer of experimental  abstracts in nature.  She uses Nikon cameras and is currently shooting with the mirrorless Nikon Z7ii. She does all her raw image editing in Lightroom and Photoshop.  This is where she manipulates each image into a piece of art while  maintaining the natural image file.  This past year Audrey began creating stacked image collages with a signature touch of rippling water. She feels that the water gives each image a sense of life.  As if it is breathing.    Another signature component of Audrey’s  work is her preference for metallic paper which deepens colors and gives Black and White photographs an antiqued appearance.

Audrey grew up on a 22-acre farm and in Endfield, NY, just outside of Ithaca.  When she wasn’t climbing trees and doing family chores, Audrey loved being a classical ballet dancer and playing Suzuki violin.  She didn’t discover her passion for photography until later in her adult life as she was healing

from the passing of her mom in 2015.

Audrey lives in Cazenovia, NY and is a ‘93 alumnus of Cazenovia College .   She has been a member of the Cazenovia Art Trail and CazArts, Creative Alliance for the past 4 years. In April 2024, two of her abstract pieces were selected for a juried photography show at the SOAG Gallery in Ithaca, NY and she had a window display at Handwork, Ithaca’s Artist Cooperative in September 2024.   Audrey has also had a few of her model portraits published in Pho-Mo Magazine.
